The 2021 Alliance Schlumberger reunion was unusual. For the first time the reunion was on an exclusive river cruise. Our CroisiEurope ship, the Amalia Rodrigues, was occupied by 108 Alliance members. It was a 5 night cruise starting and ending in Porto. The attendees seemed to be unanimous in suggesting more cruise-reunions.
Tuesday, Sept. 7th: PORTO
Boarding the ship at 5:00 p.m.
"Porto by Night” tour to Monastery Serra do Pilar, Luis I Bridge, Sáo Bento Station
Wednesday Sept. 8th: PORTO - REGUA
Guided tour of Porto, including Monument Church of St. Francis and Palacio da Bolsa (Stock Exchange Palace), Tour/tasting at Ferriera.
Afternoon sailing to Regua through Crestuma lock (14m) and Carrapatelo (36m) lock.
Thursday, Sept. 9th: REGUA - LAMEGO - FOLGOSA - BARCA D’ALVA
Sailing to Lamego.
Bus from Lamego to Mateus: Tour of the Mateus Palace and Gardens, and Vila Real.
Bus to Folgosa. Sailing to Barca d’Alva through Valeira lock (32m) and Pocinho lock (22m).
Friday, Sept. 10th: BARCA D'ALVA - FERRADOSA
Bus from Barca d’Alva to Salamanca (Spain) with a short break at Villaseco de los Gamitos, and return.
Evening sailing to Ferradosa
Saturday, Sept. 11th: FERRADOSA - FOLGOSA - LEVERINHO
The Porto wine route by bus with stops at viewponts (Sáo Salvadore do Mundo, etc. ) and Pinhao. Tour/tasting at Quinta do Tedos.
Sailing for Leverhino through Bagaúste lock (27m) and Carrapatelo lock (36m).
Sunday, Sept. 12th: LEVERINHO - PORTO
Sailing to Porto.
Disembark at 9:00 am
