Texas Capitol

This weekend Linda and I visited the Texas state capitol building in Austin and took our first guided tour. It was very informative, and the building itself is certainly impressive. We stayed downtown so early Saturday I decided to try to take some pictures of the building from Congress Avenue. I wanted to do it early enough to be able to stand in the middle of the street safely. There was almost no traffic save a few buses.

Getting a clear shot was hard to do because there are lot of distracting street lights, stop lights, signs, etc. But, here are a couple. The first was from Congress and 10th, the next two from the Capitol grounds, all on a breezy Saturday morning between 5:30 and 6:00 am.
