Copper Breaks State Park about 12 miles south of Quanah, near the Oklahoma border. It covers 1900 acres and contains two small lakes and its 10 miles of trails are easy to moderate for biking. Originally, Copper Breaks was part of the land held by the Comanche and Kiowa. Purchased from a private landowner in 1970, the state park opened to the public in 1974.
The town of Quanah has an ineresting museum in the old railway station, itself an interesting building.
