McKittrick Canyon is a very popular trail in the fall. The trailhead is located several miles northeast of the Park Headquarters and runs almost 5 miles one-way to Hunter’s Cabin. It continues much further up to Permian Reef and over the mountains but most people turn around before the climbing begins. Click on the images below to enlarge, and here for more information..
