Description |
Habitat: Canyons, shady and open slopes. Plant: Shrub or small understory tree up to 12 feet tall. Leaves: Trifoliate leaves on long petioles each leaflet lanceolate to ovate, 1 to 2-1/2 inches long, lemon scent when crushed. Inflorescence: Many small white to yellow-greenish flowers in terminal clusters; 4 or 5 pointed petals and 4 or 5 stamens. Bloom Period: April.
