Description | Habitat: Dry limestone or clay soils; open areas. Plant: Low, tufted perennial less than 2 inches tall. Leaves: Crowded, gray-green leaves, up to 1-3/4 inches long, oblanceolate, petiolate, edges covered with white hairs. Inflorescence: Blossoms about 3/4-inch across with 5 spreading pink lobes with white streaks; lower three lobes broader. Bloom Period: March to November.
