Description |
Habitat: Desert habitat, gravelly soil; in the US, found only in Big Bend. Plant: Low-growing perennial, less than one-foot tall; stems covered with fine hairs. Leaves: Compound leaves with a pair of oblong, nearly round leaflets, up to one-inch long; fine hairs on both surfaces. Inflorescence: Drooping yellow flowers, 5 petals with obvious brownish veins, light brown stamens. Bloom Period: Apparently moisture-dependent; photos below taken in April and December.
