| Description |
Habitat: Sandy, calcareous or rocky areas in desert plains and flats. Plant: Short, erect to spreading, annual; stems 1-1/2 to 10 inches tall. Leaves: Mostly alternate, deeply pinnately-divided into linear lobes 3/4 to 2-3/8 inches long; small yellow-orange glands near lobe tips. Inflorescence: Composite flower heads are 1 to 1-1/2 inches across with 7 to 9 white to pink rays with pink veins beneath; 25 to 30 yellow disk florets in center; 8 phyllaries beneath.
