Description | Habitat: Sunny areas, dry, gravelly limestone or calcareous soils. Plant: Short sprawling perennial with one or a few brittle, whitish stems, woody near base. Leaves: Alternate, long-stalked leaves, hairy, sticky, lobed, 2 to 4 inches long. Inflorescence: Flowers about 2 inches across, many yellow stamens, about 10 yellow petals, opening late afternoon.
