| Description | Habitat: Various soil types in fields, moist areas and along streams. Plant: Annual with smooth, erect or decumbent stems, simple or with multiple branches; up to 2 feet high. Leaves: Variable stem leaves alternate, ovate to elliptic or lanceolate, up to 2 inches long and 1-3/8 inches wide; edges slightly dented to coarsely and irregularly-toothed. Inflorescence: Racemes up to 10 inches long with several purplish-blue, 5-lobed blossoms 1/2-inch long; lower lip 3-lobed with yellow and white spots at base, upper two lobes narrow and recurved. Blooming Period: Spring and summer.
