Description Habitat: Dry, desert-like conditions; gravelly limestone and igneous slopes, canyons, and arroyos of higher elevations (4000 to 6000 ft.)
Plant: Large, somewhat uneven rosette of many thin, green leaves; older specimens form trunks below; tall (~12 ft) flower stem.
Leaves: Many bright green leaves up to 40 inches long and about one inch wide near the base; margins with recurved orange to reddish-tipped teeth spaced 3/8 to 5/8-inch apart.
Inflorescence: Dense racemes forming a panicle about 12 inches long of very small white or pale green blossoms.
Bloom Period: May to July.
