| Description | Habitat: Caliche and limestone outcrops. Plant: Short, leafy, spreading shrubby perennial 8 to 16 inches tall. Leaves: Many, very crowded, dark green, alternate , linear stem leaves 1/4 to 3/8 inch long; aromatic when crushed. Inflorescence: Composite yellow flowers about 3/4 inch across or less on peduncles 1 to 2 inches long; each blossom with ~12 three-toothed ray petals and 20 to 25 5-toothed disk flowers.
