Lost Mine Trail leaves from the Chisos Basin Road and climbs to the east 2-1/2 miles to an overlook above Pine Canyon and Juniper Canyon. It’s a great hike with lots of scenic spots.
In March 2011 we were greeted by a smoky morning, as you’ll see in the photos.
