Sunrise at Desert Mountain Overlook near Castolon
Cerro Castellan is located right next to Ross Maxwell Road just north of Castolon. The Tuff Canyon trail nearby. Somewhat north of there is the trailhead for Mule Ears, off to the east. The trail is about 4-1/2 miles roundtrip.
Desert Mountain Overlook is further south toward Santa Elena.
