Strasbourg

Strasbourg is the largest city in the Alsace with over 300,00 people in a metropolitan area of nearly 900,000, and It is the site of the European Parliament. Strasbourg is an important centrer of manufacturing and engineering, as well as a hub of road, rail, and river transportation. Located on the border with Germany on the Rhine, its port is the second largest on the Rhine and the second-largest river port in France after Paris.

Tourism plays an important role in the economy as people come to Strasbourg to enjoy the culture, its architecture and restaurants. Also, being the seat of the European Parliament provides a large economic benefit.
